It is never easy to talk about ourselves. In most of the cases, the speech may sound too arrogant or too critic. Also organizations end up describing what they aspire to be instead of telling us who they really are.
In neither case the reader ends up fully informed on the values, beliefs and culture of the self describing organization. We believe that the best way to show who we are begins by setting clear who we are not.
We are not bureaucratics
And we are always available. We don’t profit out of inefficiency. We don’t have long and heavy decision processes. We are alert and dynamic. For this reason we always answer the phone. Even during the Sunday night pizza.
We are a law firm focused in asset and corporate issues sensitive to our client. We are fully aware that for this issues, the client can’t wait. And that doesn’t bother us at all; on the contrary, we are consistently motivated by the dynamism such issues demand.
We don't like to go to the court
We always favor alternative dispute resolution and pacific conflict solving. We envision the Brazilian Courts as chemotherapy: only use it when there is absolutely no other available alternative. Litigation in Brazil may be harsh and sometimes one may lose control on potential side effects.
We are very selective and conservative when advising our client to pursue court litigation. We do not promote litigation in dark territory.
We are not the four horsemen
We are not problem centered lawyers – despite being fairly good solving problems. We rather invest a lot of time and energy to deeply understand our client’s business and affairs. Therefore, we are often able to perform in a preventive and strategic manner.
When our client shares a problem, it automatically becomes our problem.
We don't do magic
We are creative. Yes, very much indeed. Ask our client and get to learn our cases. 100% of the solutions we develop are primarily based in addition or preservation of economic value and not always those solutions are driven by legal issues. To us, the law is a frame not a compass.
We don't talk lawyerish
We don’t wear suits or tailleurs. We don’t hyperbolize problems. We believe that trust is built with transparency and clearness; never, ever, with information asymmetry. We view our client as a friend and business partner. We firmly believe that educating our client in technical issues increases the confidence and perception of the value added in our solutions. Our success only exists with the client’s success.
